I worked as a freelance Producer for the People+Planet Project, an action network for social good. The platform will be launching in January 2016 and will educate and inspire action on the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals to reduce climate change and poverty by 2030.
In my role as producer I delivered value in the realm of event production and partnership management. This included producing the announcement event at the United Nations during UN Week in September 2015, as well as a special screening of the docu-series BELIEF with Oprah at the United Nations.

I then took on the role of Partnerships Manager for client programs while continuing to manage the Social Impact Program.

I worked on a client program with Absolut called Lunch Break in which we produced a series of 1-hour daytime dance parties in clubs in 5 markets nationally. We raised over $10k for the food banks to work on hunger relief in five markets.
The Meraki Xperience
The Meraki Xperience was designed by myself and a team of like-minded colleagues (The Meraki Collective) as a gathering in the summer of 2014 in Greece. It was an opportunity to learn, connect, and create with interdisciplinary people passionate about transforming society through new models and initiatives of transformative, purpose-driven learning. We launched a smaller, pilot version of the Meraki Xperience in the summer of 2014, with possibilities for future expansion.
Enstitute is a national apprenticeship-based fellowship program started in 2012. I was selected from 500 applicants to be one of eleven fellows in the inaugural class and apprentice with the CEO of Flavorpill Media, Sascha Lewis.
As fellows we hosted weekly dinner events with speakers such as Albert Wenger, Gary Vaynerchuk and Marc Ecko, and attended conferences such as Catalyst Week in Las Vegas.
The program and fellows has been featured in outlets such as The New York Times, CNN, PBS, Forbes, and CNBC.
The Eduventurist Project was my personal inquiry into the art of self-directed learning. I left formal schooling midway through my sophomore year of college and decided to interview and profile others who had stepped off of the traditional educational track and taken their learning into their own hands.
// PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS //
+ I interviewed 40+ individuals based all over the world about their learning paths and the resources, tools, and strategies they had used. I cataloged my findings via the Eduventurist blog which received 7k+ unique visitors since 2011.
+ The project was featured by organizations such as Echoing Green, The Edupunks Guide, and Make Sense.
+ I created an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds to travel to various parts of the US to interview the founders and shapers of the new educational ecosystem for entrepreneurial learning.
+ I was awarded a scholarship by a private family foundation to attend The Bold Academy accelerator program at the culmination of my research for the project. The experience helped me to contextualize and reflect on the learnings and how I would share my learnings more broadly.
+ I signed with Night Owls Press to publish the book and have plans to publish it by the end of 2016.
I have worked as a paid and pro bono freelancer for a variety of non-profits, companies, and educational institutions. Click here for a list of my services offered!

Passions and Interests
So, what are some of the other things I like to spend my time and energy on?
+ Movement & Wellness: Having a pilates teacher for a grandmother, movement and health of the mind, body, and spirit have always been important to me. Whether it be running, taking a yoga class, meditating or dancing (doesn't matter if I'm in a club or at home), I make a point of being active and staying centered.
+ The Arts:Bang Said the Gun NYC is a monthly spoken-word event that is an off-shoot of the London-based event by the same name. I worked with a team of volunteers to produce the first two events in March and April 2015. We featured renowned poets such as Phil Kaye, Angel Nafis, Anis Mojgani, and others.
+ Civic Engagement: I have volunteered for various non-profits and civic organizations over the years. I've given my time as a volunteer to Publicolor, The Redwoods Retirement Center, and orphanages in Mexico and India.
